9th Annual Bronzeville Holiday Kick-Off: Small Business Saturday Celebration: "Support Local, Grow Together and Fall in Love with Bronzeville!"
As Neighborhood Champions deemed by American Express, we at Absolutely Anything Essential are thrilled to lead this year’s Bronzeville Community: Small Business Saturday on November 30, 2024, at 3521 S. King Drive, Chicago, IL 60653 with a celebration that combines holiday magic, family, community, and love for small businesses. Welcoming over 500 visitors.
Come solo, with friends, family or co-workers. Positive vibes only!
Here’s what we have in store:
1. Fall in Love with Local
Family Shopping Passport: Families can explore Bronzeville’s small businesses, collecting Shop Small passport stamps for each purchase. Completed passports enter a raffle for family-friendly prizes, gift baskets and workshop tickets.
“Love Local” Family Fun Zones:
Enjoy interactive pop-up stations featuring family bonding fun, face painting, and holiday craft tables where kids can make holiday cards inside our partnering connected neighbor’s business.
Window and Gate Walk: Connected Local businesses will create cozy, Holiday and Shop Small themed displays celebrating togetherness.
2. Community Supporting Small Business
Tote /Gift Bags: Distribute “Small Business bags filled with coupons for family-friendly deals at local small businesses.
Adventure Cards: Provide maps highlighting stops for Holiday inspiration, story-time sessions by local business influencers. Shoppers collect stamps and redeem them for small gifts.
“Support Local” Holiday Cheer Kits: Give out kits with Shop Small stickers, holiday postcards, and Bronzeville ornaments to inspire pride in shopping local.
3. Love Local, Shop Small Traditions
Tree Lighting: Kick off the holiday season with a tree lighting and live music steps away from our door at the Freedom statue. It’s a festive gathering for families to celebrate Bronzeville.
